Position Description
The Department of Theatre & Film at The University of Mississippi invites applications for a one-year (with the possibility of renewal for a second year) Visiting Assistant Professor of Scenic Design beginning August 22, 2024. An MFA is required for this full time, temporary, nine-month position. Responsibilities include teaching courses within our design curriculum which may include scenic design, property construction, scenic painting, and more. Additional responsibilities will include designing up to two shows within our mainstage season and mentoring students in the program. The department currently enrolls 120 majors with 19 full time faculty and offers a BA in Theatre Arts and BFA in Theatre Arts emphases in Acting for Stage & Screen, Design & Theatre Production, and Film Production. Minimum Qualifications
